A spontaneous forest photoshoot with snakes and shibari

Sometimes the best ideas happen completely by accident. We came to the forest for one shoot, but in the end everything turned into a completely different story — with snakes, shibari, and a very successful spontaneous collaboration.
At first, we had our own plan: a forest location, my model, and Silesia, my albino Boa imperator. But nearby, on the same location, another team was also shooting — photographer Michał Dąbrowski, model Curs Anastasia, and rope artist Amanita, who was working on shibari for their project.
My model happened to know the photographer, so we started talking. Very quickly, the whole situation felt like too good of a coincidence to ignore. It was obvious that this collaboration was worth trying.
Silesia took part in the series — a light albino Boa imperator whose color looked beautiful against the forest background. Her movement also matched the lines of the shibari really well, which made the whole series feel natural and complete.
The result was a very spontaneous, alive, and cohesive snake photoshoot in Warsaw. Forest atmosphere, shibari, body movement, and a real snake in the frame all came together in a way that felt easy and honest. These are the kinds of projects I really like — the ones that appear in the moment, when the right people meet and decide to trust the idea.
As always, the work with Boa imperator was calm and controlled. The poses and contact with the snake were chosen carefully, so the model felt comfortable and the animal stayed safe.
This shoot is a great example of how a simple snake photoshoot can suddenly grow into something bigger. Sometimes you do not need a detailed plan. You just need one location, the right people nearby, and an idea that instantly feels worth trying.
